My Story

I like to think of myself as a Flow Architect.

That title may sound a little whimsical, but it fits the way I see the world. Whether I am leading technology operations, building a custom PC, improving customer experience, or trying to convince two Great Danes they are not lap dogs, I am always looking for the same thing: better flow.

I listen for where the flow gets stuck.

For more than 30 years, I have worked in IT operations, cybersecurity, infrastructure management, service delivery, and customer experience. My career has taken me through global technical support organizations, executive technology leadership, risk strategy, operational transformation, and large-scale service environments where calm thinking and clear direction matter.

I enjoy finding the friction points — the places where teams slow down, customers get frustrated, processes become tangled, or technology stops serving the people it was meant to help. Then I listen, untangle, organize, rebuild, and refine until the whole thing starts moving with more purpose.

I was a gamer before gaming became ordinary.

I am an avid gamer — not the "played once at a party" kind, but the LAN-cable, tower-PC, convention-badge, strategy-and-snacks kind.

Since 1998, I have attended major gaming conventions such as QuakeCon and Lan All Night. Gaming has always appealed to the part of me that loves systems, teamwork, problem-solving, performance, and just enough chaos to keep things interesting.

Every great build starts with airflow.

To me, building a PC is not just assembling parts. It is airflow, power, precision, design, troubleshooting, cable management, patience, and the satisfying moment when everything lights up exactly as it should.

A good PC build tells a story: every component has a purpose, every connection matters, and the final result should perform beautifully without unnecessary noise. In many ways, that is how I approach leadership too.

My home has heart, humor, and paws.

I have been married to my husband, Kevin, and together we have shared 15 years of partnership, laughter, love, and daily negotiations with a very opinionated household.

We share our home with Spanky, our Shih Tzu, who I am fairly certain believes he is the chief executive of the family, and two Great Danes, Kylo and Mako, who bring the presence, volume, and square footage of small horses with the hearts of devoted companions.

I do not just manage systems. I tune them. I listen for the hum, find the loose wire, clear the bottleneck, adjust the airflow, rally the team, pet the dog, update the firmware, and try to leave the whole thing running smoother than I found it.

Military Service

Where the discipline started.

Eight years in the U.S. Army — from infantry mortar lines in Germany to the Army Reserve — built the foundation of discipline, teamwork, and calm under pressure that has shaped everything since.

Present
Flow Architect

Bringing 30+ years of experience to bear on the intersection of people, process, and technology — wherever flow needs to be restored.

Built on breadth, not just depth.

The through-line in my career has always been the same: understand how things actually work, find what is slowing them down, and make it better. The domain — security, ops, infrastructure, CX — changes. The instinct doesn't.

Skills & Spirit

Part strategist. Part builder. Part calm voice in the room.

I have always been drawn to the space between people and systems. Technology should not feel cold or distant. Processes should not make people feel trapped. Leadership should not create confusion. The best environments have rhythm.
